This Privacy Policy applies to visitors of our marketing website, hosts who create WeaveClick accounts, and guests who upload to an event gallery through a QR code or private link.

Guests generally do not create accounts. Hosts sign in through our authentication provider and manage events from a dashboard.

Information we collect

We collect information in three broad categories:

• Host account information — such as name, email address, and authentication identifiers provided when you register or sign in.
• Event and gallery data — event titles, dates, settings, plan details, and content you configure for your gallery.
• User-generated content — photos, videos, text posts, voice notes, captions, and related metadata uploaded by hosts or guests.
• Contact form submissions — name, email address, and message content when you contact support.
• Technical and usage data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referral data, and basic event-view statistics collected through logs, cookies, and similar technologies.

How we use information

We use personal information to operate, secure, and improve WeaveClick. This includes:

• Creating and managing host accounts and events
• Displaying galleries, slideshows, and download features
• Processing one-time plan payments
• Providing customer support and responding to contact requests
• Monitoring performance, preventing abuse, and fixing errors
• Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our Terms of Service

Photos, videos, and guest content

Event media is uploaded by hosts and guests at the direction of the event host. WeaveClick stores and displays that content so the host can manage their gallery.

We do not claim ownership of your photos, videos, or other media. We do not sell guest uploads and we do not use event media for our own advertising without your permission, except where required by law.

Hosts are responsible for sharing gallery access appropriately and for content uploaded to their events, including obtaining any permissions required from guests and rights holders.

Gallery access is intended to be private to people who receive the event link or QR code. Hosts can use moderation features on eligible plans to review uploads before they appear.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, authentication, security, and to understand how the marketing website is used.

Our marketing site may use Google Tag Manager to load analytics or measurement tools. You can limit cookies through your browser settings, although some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run WeaveClick, when required by law, or to protect the security and rights of our users and platform.

Our current subprocessors include:

• Clerk — Host account authentication and session management
• Stripe — One-time plan payments and checkout
• MongoDB Atlas — Event, account, and application data storage
• Backblaze B2 — Photo, video, and media file storage
• Vercel — Application hosting and delivery
• Resend — Contact form and transactional email delivery
• Sentry — Error monitoring and performance diagnostics
• Google Tag Manager — Website analytics and tag management (marketing site)

Data retention

Uploaded media and event data are retained according to your plan. Free plans currently store uploads for 14 days. Pro plans store uploads for 90 days. Premium plans store uploads for up to one year, as described on our pricing pages.

After the applicable storage period, media may be deleted or made unavailable. Hosts should download content they wish to keep before a plan or storage period ends.

Account and billing records may be kept longer where needed for support, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted transport, and reputable infrastructure providers.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password for your host account and share event links only with people you trust.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing.

Hosts can update account details through the dashboard where available. You may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing us. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. California residents may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to request deletion, subject to legal exceptions.

Children's privacy

WeaveClick is intended for event hosts who can form a binding contract in their jurisdiction. The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

International transfers

WeaveClick may process and store information in countries other than your own through our infrastructure and service providers. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
